Chris Botti. Welcome to Ukraine!
On April 3, the American trumpeter Chris Botti will have his concert at the metropolitan ICCA (International Center of Culture and Arts) /October palace/ in Kiev and on April 4, at the State Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after Shevchenko in Kharkov.
Chris Botti is the charismatic musician, bright trumpeter, talented composer, genius of sound, author of numerous albums, winner of the most prestigious awards.
Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed CD When I Fall In Love, Chris Botti has become the largest selling American instrumental artist. His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music and his ongoing association with PBS has led to four #1 Jazz Albums, as well as multiple Gold, Platinum & Grammy Awards.
Over the past three decades, he has recorded and performed with the best in music; including Frank Sinatra, Sting, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, Andrea Bocelli, Joshua Bell and Aerosmith's own Steven Tyler.
Chris Botti created certain author's genre, that attracted attention of modern jazz devotees as well pop music fans. The sound of Chris Botti's instrument is exceptionally gentle. Paul Simon characterized it in a following way: "That is a voice of soul".
Hitting the road for 250 plus days per year, Chris and his incredible band have performed with many of the finest symphonies, at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including performances at the World Series and Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony.
Boston and London, Moscow and Paris, Melbourne and Cologne – every world musical capital receives Chris Botti with admiration. Now the time has come for the Ukrainian Capital. On April 3-4, Chris Botti and his well-known band will present their marvellous program, consisting of the world hits, in Kiev and Kharkov. An hour and a half of fantastic music and Chris Botti's unbelievable charm will make the evening absolutely precious.

The audience stopped breathing when Chris Botti went down into the hall, playing fantastic melody to a woman, sitting in the fourth row. The lady's eyes were tearful. It was Trudie Styler, Sting's wife. Chris elegantly knelt and kissed her hand, congratulating her on her birthday. And that's what he's like – the wonderful Chris Botti.
