Dear Colleagues!

In spring 2010 the festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Ten years have passed since we officially declared the birth of a new festival DoDj.

Ten years of effective work! Hundreds of concerts, nine contests and hundreds of prize winners!
During these years we have accepted congratulations and listened to criticism, we have been happy and we have been worried, and we have been always moving forward.

Ten years is a serious stage in the festival’s life. We are proud to make a statement: by its 10th anniversary the festival has become an event, which is known for its integrity and which enjoys great awareness.

We made an exception and moved the Contest to the autumn considering the situation. This fact made happy most contest participants. For the first time the contest does not coincide in time with the exams.

With its tenths anniversary the festival will get a big name, which will be understandable for our European and American partners. Very soon we are going to submit for discussion our proposals on the festival rebranding to the musical audience.

Pleasant surprises make an essential part of this spring. A UK energetic band Matt Bianco is coming to Ukraine to give concerts in Kyiv and Donetsk.

A participant of one of the first contests Susanna Jamaladinova, who has become extremely famous, is likely to impress the Donetsk fans of DoDj festival under her melodic name Jamala.

The festival will keep working making jazz a usual and compulsory part of our lives.

The festival will discover new names and bring them to the big stage. The festival will bring big stars to the Ukrainian fans.

Thank you to those we started our way with. Thank you to those who have supported us. Thank you to everyone who is with us now.

Ten years is really a big holiday! Ten years also means work. And we like the work, which can make someone’s life into a holiday.

Festival’s President
Alexander Seryy
