Wednesday night 14 finalists of “Do#Dj junior” International jazz contest joined jazz battle in Kiev Operetta Theater. The jury consisted of 20 persons from 4 different countries.

“Do#Dj” International jazz festival has begun in Kiev .

This Wednesday, 8 th April the audience of Kiev operetta theatre was non-typical for this place. Only true jazz lovers gathered there. “Do#Dj” festival has been held in Ukraine for 8 years straight but it’s the first time it was held in Kiev.

“Earth, Wind & Fire”: the wind of fiery emotions on the Earth of love

The visit of a famous band “Earth Wind & Fire Experience Featuring the Al McKay Allstars” (this offbeat event happened as part of “Do#Dj’9” International jazz festival) caused quit a stir among music elite. Although only two members of original EWF left (Al Mckay himself and trumpeter Michael Harris) this was an off-the-wall event. At least that’s what it sounded like talking to musicians frinds.

The opening of “Do#Dj’9” International jazz festival was 1 st April in the capital of Ukraine . Is was the opening of the festival in Kiev as “Do#Dj’9” started in Nikolayev 24 th March and continued 26 th March in Odessa. A unique Italian singer Boris Savoldelli performed in these southern cities.
